What to Expect

Phase 1- Assessment:  Once we’ve received your information, if we haven’t already set up an appointment, we’ll follow-up within a few business days. In most cases, we’ll need to conduct an in-home assessment to determine your needs. This usually takes about 45 - 60 minutes.  Don’t worry - we do NOT use high pressure sales tactics.  We are not there to sell you anything, but rather start the process of understanding.  We need to do a preliminary heat loss/gain assessment to recommend the correct size of equipment and do a site evaluation. During that process, we often educate and answer questions to better help you understand your options.  This might include options related to features, technology, brands or even available rebates.  We find that our success comes from our integrity and our appreciation of an open and honest style of communication.   We don’t want you to feel pressured.  We do want you to fully understand your options and we’re happy to share our expertise and education. 

Phase 2 - Quote: Once we have enough information to make recommendations and provide you with a quote, we will send that to you, usually via email. We will then follow up to confirm you’ve received the quote and review with you over the phone, on Zoom, or in person if needed.  You will find our quotes are quite detailed and very transparent, but we understand you will have questions.  We won’t harass you after this. We do send out a couple of emails and maybe a followup call to make sure you got the quote.  Technology!  Please read the quote fully as there can be time limitations to some rebates or incentives. 

Phase 3 - Confirmation and Ordering: Once you have decided, (hopefully to go with us!) we normally ask for a small deposit that triggers the ordering process.  When we have confirmed the availability of your selected equipment, we will contact you to schedule an appropriate date.  We are proud of our 99% reliability with our start dates because we know it can be challenging to arrange your life around home projects.  We want to make it as seamless as possible.

Phase 4 - Project start/completion: We normally arrive between 8:00 and 8:30 am on the day of installation and usually work until about 6pm, depending on the work required and your availability.  We are used to our customers working from home, or having young children, so we are happy to work out specific times for nosier work to allow for quiet times.  It may take more than one day to complete the work, but you will have a clear idea of the project plan.  We clean up each day to ensure you can use your home safely and cleanly, and we do a final clean up once the job is complete.  You can count on us to go over the installation, technology, maintenance, and operation details to fully educate you on what you need to know.  Our installation crew is fully trained to take final payment upon completion.

Phase 5 - Project closeout:  Rebate Documents/Warranty Registration:   Once final payment has been made, we will send you copies of your receipt as well as a final invoice with all models and serial numbers for your records. These details are also held in our files for future use if needed.  Any documents, such as final heat loss/gain reports, required for your rebates will be created and sent to you with about 2 weeks of completion. We will also register all equipment to ensure you get full extended warranty coverage.  Most companies leave this in your hands, but you get busy and sometimes these things get forgotten.  We want to make sure you get full benefit, so we have a process to register your warranties, usually within 30 days.  We will also followup with you to request a review and ensure you are happy with your experience.
